PAT McCRORY
Former Governor, North Carolina
Pat McCrory is an American businessman, politician, and radio host who served as the 74th governor of North Carolina from 2013 to 2017 and as the 53rd Mayor of Charlotte from 1995 to 2009. A member of the Republican Party, he also served on the U.S. Homeland Security Advisory Council from 2002 to 2006 under President George W. Bush.
As governor, McCrory reformed the state’s tax code, invested in transportation infrastructure, paid off state debt, raised teacher pay, and oversaw a bond referendum supporting universities, parks, and the National Guard. He served on the executive boards of the national Mayors’ and Governors’ associations.
McCrory has extensive private sector experience with Duke Energy Company and Moore & Van Allen, and has served on corporate boards including Lending Tree and Kewaunee Scientific. A sought-after commentator, he frequently appears on national media including NPR, Meet the Press, CNN, and Fox News.
He and his wife, Ann, reside in Charlotte, North Carolina.
